Our Statement of Beliefs

Fun on the Run believes that all children are competent, capable, curious and rich in potential. By providing children with open-ended learning opportunities that encompass inquiry-based learning, they will develop optimally in all developmental domains. In order to facilitate a positive environment that promotes positive interactions among the children, families and school faculty members, each Fun on the Run staff member will assume the role of a co-learner in each learning day.

Kindergarten - JK/SK

Fun on the Run will provide each kindergartner the opportunity to grow and develop in a safe, stimulating, and inviting environment. As each child enters the kindergarten room, they will take the skills learned such as following a routine, self regulation and communication, to continue to support their success and development. The goal in the kindergarten room is to provide continued support to each individual child at the stage they are at, by maintaining an environment that meets their needs on every developmental domain.

School-Age - Grade 1-6

Fun on the Run will provide each school-ager the opportunity to further develop in a welcoming, supportive, and thought-provoking environment. As each child transitions from the kindergarten room to the school-age room, they will take the skills learned such as following a routine, cooperation, communication and helping skills to continue to support their success and development. The goal in each school-age room is to provide continued support to each individual child at the stage they are at, by maintaining an environment that supports their diverse strengths, needs, abilities and interests.
