Our Community Involvement
Fun on the Run believes in building a strong sense of community within the program. We are active members in each of our school communities. Furthermore, we work alongside the administrative staff within each school site we operate, to develop plans for Fun on the Run to give back to the school community.
Candies for Kids
During the Halloween season, Fun on the Run implemented the 'Candies for Kids' fundraiser, where children and staff were invited to share some of their Halloween candy with children around the world who are starving and undernourished. Together we collected over 20 courier bags of candy!
Throughout the months of November and December, a group of program staff travelled to 360 Kids Home Base in Richmond Hill to participate in the '360 Give Program', which is a program that invites corporations who share a common mission to help youth overcome crisis and transition to a state of safety and stability.

Fun on the Run hosted a ‘Paint Night’ for the children belonging to Fun on the Run’s before-and-after school program. Children participating in this event were provided with appropriate painting tools including a personal canvas and easel. In order for each child to participate in this event, Fun on the Run requested a minimum of a $5.00 donation, where all proceeds were given to Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Together we rasied a total of $250.00!
In October, Fun on The Run hosted a charity bake sale in honor of Alexa, a girl battling cancer. Staff and children in our program helped to prepare and support for Alexa. Our Fun on the Run friends made cupcakes, rice crispies, brownies, and popcorn. All proceeds went to Alexa and her family, to help them achieve proper medical care. With helping hands, we have rasied a total of $1000.00! When we come together we can do miraculous things.
